The Documentation Specialist will support the development, maintenance, and governance of policies, procedures, manuals, and operational documentation in a regulated environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, format, and maintain policies, procedures, manuals, job aids, and operational documentation
- Research and update documentation based on business process, operational, and regulatory changes
- Review proposed policy and procedure updates for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Manage documentation deliverables to help meet project milestones and stakeholder expectations
- Maintain documentation repositories and knowledge management resources so information remains current and accessible
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, business process documentation, communications, or a related field
- Associate's degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience researching, documenting, and improving business processes and workflows
- Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience creating and maintaining policies, procedures, manuals, and operational documentation
- Working knowledge of web-based technologies, content management systems, and documentation tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting documentation, policy management, or knowledge management functions within a financial services or regulated environment
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a related field
- Experience with enterprise content management systems and intranet platforms
- Knowledge of financial services products, operations, policies, and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
