Role: Resettlement Support Worker (2 Vacancies)

Posts:

  • Full-Time - Permanent - 39 Hours (1 Vacancy)
  • Part-Time – Permanent – 20 Hours (1 Vacancy)

Salary: €40,851 per annum

Location: North Dublin Based

The Resettlement Support Worker will support women and children to establish and maintain safe, stable housing, access community resources and services, build independent living skills, and achieve positive long-term outcomes following experiences of domestic abuse. The role promotes client safety, social inclusion, well-being and successful integration within local communities.

Resettlement Support Workers required to be flexible to locations due to the nature of the service. The role involves regular travel between various accommodations, community settings and external agencies throughout North Dublin and surrounding areas. Working hours generally cover five days per week between 9.00am and 6.00pm, with flexibility required to respond to client, accommodation and service needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Third Level Qualification at degree level in Social Care, Social Work, Community Development, Social Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' relevant experience working in housing support, homelessness, social care, domestic abuse or community services.
  • Experience of key-working clients and managing individual caseloads.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals within community-based accommodation settings.
  • Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, housing supports, social housing pathways and homelessness prevention services.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and issues affecting women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Strong skills in advocacy, support planning, risk assessment and interagency working.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Full Driving Licence and access to transport.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience supporting individuals transitioning from refuge or emergency accommodation into longer-term housing.
  • Knowledge of HAP, social housing supports and housing legislation.
  • Understanding of Children's First and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience of interagency working.
  • Flexibility/Adaptability.
