DIRECTOR OF NURSING / FACILITY MANAGER TAROOM, QUEENSLAND

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to take on the role of Director of Nursing / Facility Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Provide strategic and operational leadership, overseeing the full scope of clinical and corporate governance frameworks
• Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safe, high-quality, and culturally competent care
• Ensure compliance with NSQHS Standards and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Manage delegated cost centres and operational plans, applying sound financial and resource management practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, representing the facility within the local community
• Participate in an on-call roster and respond to service requirements outside standard rostered hours as needed

YOU WILL HAVE / KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• Current or eligible AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with an annual practicing certificate
• Demonstrated experience in professional and clinical leadership across multidisciplinary teams within complex health service environments
• Strong financial acumen and experience in resource management and operational budgeting
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and manage relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
• High-level knowledge of NSQHS Standards and quality improvement frameworks
• A genuine passion for rural health and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• Post Graduate qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, or Management are well regarded (not essential)
• Current 'C' class driver's licence
