Opportunity for a Dedicated Dental Hygienist / Oral Health Therapist (1 Day/Week)

A highly skilled, patient-centric Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist is invited to join a reputable dental practice, a one-day-a-week role, every Tuesday. This unique opportunity focuses on advanced care, building genuine patient relationships, and expanding your professional skills across diverse treatments, including OHT scope, if desired.

About the Practice

This specialist practice focuses on Prosthodontics, providing comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation and All-on-4 treatments.  The team provides high-quality, patient-centred care, treating every patient like a dear family member. Clear protocols and a culture of encouraging team solutions define the practice.

You’ll collaborate with a diverse team including specialists and general dentists, managers, coordinators, treatment consultants, and in-house lab technicians.  Weekly team meetings and morning huddles ensure integrated support and alignment.

The Role

This part-time position is for one day a week, every Tuesday, with patient hours from 8:50 AM to 5:00 PM.  The schedule allocates dedicated time for patient preparation and note completion. Remuneration is $60–$70 per hour.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong patient relationships and understanding care motivations.
  • Delivering comprehensive hygiene and periodontal treatments
  • Managing periodontal patients and providing specialised implant care.
  • Taking routine radiographs (Intraoral & OPGs) and conducting periodontal charting.
  • Pre-brief dentists on patient history and treatment needs.
  • Ensuring timely note completion, maintaining schedules, and smooth handovers.
  • Discussing treatment options with patients engagingly.
  • Using advanced dental instruments
  • Operating advanced equipment such as an in-house intra-oral scanner for nightguards and blueprint planning, and a CBCT machine.
  • Assisting with specific procedures, such as dental implant bridge removal, with training.
  • Capturing clinical photographs for complex cases
