About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour weeks; 1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: Urology Department
Responsibilities:
- Completing patient intake and mixing medications
- Answering nursing phones and scheduling follow-up appointments
- Taking vital signs and assisting with procedures
- Using EMR systems and performing patient care-related tasks
- Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Nursing experience
- Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working within an Ambulatory Health facility
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Bilingual
- BCLS certification
- EKG certification
- Knowledge of Next Generation software
