Senior Project Engineer | Water

The Opportunity
If you're a Senior Project Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of project delivery and working closely with site teams to drive outcomes, this is a role where you’ll be trusted and properly supported.

Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a respected civil contractor delivering water, wastewater, pipelines and pump station projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland. They have an experienced leadership team, strong systems in place and a healthy secured pipeline of work.

Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer.

You’ll work closely with an experienced Senior Project Manager, playing a key role in both the technical and commercial delivery of projects, while being given the autonomy to take ownership of your scope.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting end-to-end delivery of utilities projects
• Managing planning, programming and cost control
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Driving quality, safety and environmental compliance
• Providing technical support to Supervisors and site crews
• Managing client and stakeholder relationships
• Contributing to procurement and contract administration

This role suits someone proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused, someone who enjoys being close to delivery while still influencing the bigger picture.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer (utilities highly regarded)
• Strong background in pipelines, water/wastewater or civil infrastructure
• Sound understanding of contracts, cost control and project planning
• Ability to coordinate teams and drive program outcomes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A hands-on approach with a genuine interest in project delivery
