Design & Build Consultant

Are you passionate about helping clients create their dream home? We're looking for a driven and customer-focused Design & Build Consultant to join a well-established residential builder in Christchurch as an independent contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a performance-based environment and enjoys the flexibility that comes with contracting. You'll manage your own pipeline while being supported by an experienced team and a respected brand.

Key Responsibilities 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to signed building contracts.
• Understand clients' needs, budgets and lifestyles to recommend suitable design and build solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, pricing and building contracts.
• Work collaboratively with design, estimating and construction teams to ensure a seamless handover.
• Generate new business through referrals, networking and self-generated leads.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
• Represent the business at home shows, open homes and other promotional events.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience throughout the sales journey.

• Previous experience in residential building, new home sales, property or consultative sales.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working as an independent contractor.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• A proven ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence.
