Full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) position available for the 26-27 school year. We need an in-person provider; they will not be considering virtual providers. 
Hours: 37.5/wk
Requirements: The provider must have their Colorado Department of Education authorization to provide services for students with visual impairments. 

Below are the requirements for this teaching endorsement on a teacher's license.  

Special Education Specialist - Visual Impairment (ages 0-21)

  • master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in special education visual impairment or its equivalent, as determined by the department; and
  • completion of an approved program from a regionally accredited institution for special education specialists: visually impaired that includes prescribed field experience requirements.
Any candidates who also hold their orientation and mobility specialist (O&M) certifications would be preferred, but it is not a requirement. They will not be considering candidates who solely hold their O&M at this time. They do not have enough O&M work for a full-time position. It is more critical to secure a TVI.
