ABOUT THE ROLE
The Infrastructure division is seeking a Project Engineer to provide project engineering services across a range of infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects and supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with the scoping, planning and delivery of larger projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Infrastructure division is seeking a Project Engineer to provide project engineering services across a range of infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects and supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with the scoping, planning and delivery of larger projects.
What you will be doing:
- Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to scope, plan and execute allocated projects to ensure quality, on time delivery, within budget. This requires effective project management skills including planning, estimating, contract management and administration, site supervision and cost control.
- Conduct risk assessments for each project using risk analysis techniques and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to limit Port of Melbourne risk exposure and facilitate the successful delivery of all projects.
- Investigate and research technical issues associated with developing infrastructure, roads, buildings and services, including site and operational investigations and construction methodologies with the objective of informing design and construction, and minimising Port of Melbourne’s exposure to risk.
- Provide support in project and contract administration including the preparation of tenders, project briefs, technical specifications, reports, letters, RFIs, records and documents.
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
- Experience in civil engineering industry (planning, design and construction).
- Knowledge of OH&S requirements applicable to construction
- Tender and contract management experience
- Understanding of principles and methodologies for effective stakeholder engagement
- Good project management skills including planning, estimating, scheduling, cost control and administration
- Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and MS Project
