  • Assistant Project Manager – Energy Construction

    We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale power and energy construction projects. This individual will work closely with project and field leadership across project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication.

    This opportunity is open to candidates interested in contract, contract-to-hire, or direct-hire employment. The role can be remote during the contract period; candidates transitioning into a permanent position will be expected to work onsite at project locations and may be required to temporarily relocate based on project needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Support project leadership throughout planning and construction.

    • Assist with schedules, budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and project reporting.

    • Coordinate procurement, material requirements, and subcontractor activities.

    • Monitor project progress, costs, deliverables, and potential risks.

    • Assist with subcontractor documentation, invoicing, and change management.

    • Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, safety, and quality teams.

    • Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes, and supporting documentation.

    • Prepare project updates and support internal and client meetings.

    • Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with project controls.

    Qualifications

    • 4–7+ years of construction experience, preferably within power, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, industrial construction, or heavy civil projects.

    • Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar project-focused construction role.

    • Experience supporting large, complex construction projects.

    • Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost controls, procurement, subcontractor management, and project documentation.

    • Experience with common construction/project management and scheduling software.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

    • Flexibility to work onsite at project locations if transitioning into a permanent position.
