Traffic Management - STMS

We are currently seeking experienced Traffic Management professionals across multiple levels to join leading civil and infrastructure projects throughout Christchurch. These roles cover both hands-on site delivery and technical planning/design work, offering strong variety and long-term opportunity.
You’ll be working across well-established civil contractors and infrastructure providers, supporting safe and compliant delivery of projects under NZTA standards.
What’s on offer

• $27–$31/hr (TC / TMO roles)
• $32–$42/hr (STMS roles)
• $40–$55/hr (Designers / Planners)
• Ongoing work across civil and infrastructure projects
• Mix of site-based and office-based roles depending on experience
• Work with reputable, well-established contractors
• Strong pipeline of varied projects across Christchurch

Key responsibilities STMS / Site Delivery roles:

• Running traffic management sites safely and efficiently
• Implementing and maintaining TMPs on active worksites
• Coordinating with civil crews and contractors on site
• Ensuring full compliance with NZTA standards
• Managing traffic flow, signage, and site safety setups

Designers / Planners:

• Developing and preparing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
• Designing safe and compliant traffic layouts for worksites
• Working closely with project managers and site teams
• Ensuring all plans meet NZTA and client requirements
• Adjusting plans to suit site conditions and project scope

What we’re looking for

• Relevant Traffic Management qualifications (TC, TMO, STMS)
• Experience in traffic management operations or TMP design
• Strong understanding of NZTA standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to work effectively across civil and infrastructure environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High focus on safety and detail
