Location: Co. Kildare (On-site)
Overview
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will take full ownership of site Quality and Environmental systems within a multinational manufacturing facility in Co. Kildare. The position has become available due to the planned retirement of the current incumbent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
- Manage the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and ensure full EPA licence compliance, including monitoring, reporting, and submissions
- Supervise, develop, and support a team of three
- Oversee QC laboratory operations, including testing, sampling, and results validation
- Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure all raw materials and production processes consistently meet specification requirements
- Support production teams with technical input and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain ISO and related certifications
- Manage site environmental compliance activities, including effluent and emissions monitoring
- Report on key quality and environmental performance metrics to site leadership
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Experience managing EPA or similar regulatory compliance frameworks
- Proven track record in audit management (internal and external)
- Background in quality control and laboratory supervision
- Experience working closely with production and operations teams
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment
Salary & Benefits
- €70,000–€90,000 DOE + 5% bonus + pension
