Employment Lawyer

A well-established boutique law firm based in Perth, specialising in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Workplace Litigation and Work Health & Safety.

About the role

As an Employment Lawyer, you will manage a diverse range of employment law matters, including drafting contracts, providing industrial relations advice, and representing clients in court. You will be expected to develop relationships with clients and contribute to business development initiatives after an initial period of adjustment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employment and industrial relations matters, including breach of contract disputes and restraint of trade issues.
• Draft employment contracts, agreements, and enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs).
• Conduct detailed legal research and provide clear summaries of legal advice.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and directions hearings.
• Liaise with unions and union representatives.
• Engage in networking activities and contribute to business development.

Skills & experience

• Proven experience in employment law and industrial relations, with strong technical skills.
• Ability to summarise legal advice clearly and effectively.
• Experience in the Perth market is preferred.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and developing professional relationships.
