- Flat rate of $65.00 per hour + super
- Monday - Friday: 7–4pm/7:30am-4pm
- 44-hour week with paid breaks
- Optional OT 4-hour Saturday available most weeks
- Earn circa $149k + super on the standard roster, with the opportunity to earn up to circa $170k + super through regular Saturday overtime

The Role
You will be the sole Mechanical Fitter responsible for keeping a busy heavy industrial processing site running reliably, working across both fixed plant and mobile equipment. The site has a close-knit team of around 10 people, with support from operators, an Electrical Leading Hand and external contractors where required.
You will have the autonomy to plan your own workload, prioritise maintenance requirements, coordinate contractors and take ownership of the mechanical function on site. This role would suit an experienced fitter who enjoys responsibility, variety and being trusted to make decisions.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Maintenance and repairs across fixed plant, mobile plant and heavy equipment
- Fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Planning and prioritising maintenance activities based on site requirements
- Supporting shutdowns, breakdown response and reliability work
- Working closely with operators to minimise downtime
- Managing contractors on site to ensure work is completed safely and to plan
- Mentoring apprentices and operators during maintenance activities
- Carrying out basic welding including MIG, Stick and occasional TIG
- Maintaining safe work practices and compliance with site procedures
The Requirements
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
- Strong experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, quarrying, mining, logistics or large-scale industrial environments
- High Risk Licences, or willingness to obtain, advantageous
