AWX Executive is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, fault finding, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment. About the Role As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of heavy diesel equipment to ensure maximum reliability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Respond to and rectify breakdowns efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they become critical.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and operations teams to achieve business objectives.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience working on heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, mining machinery, agricultural equipment or related assets.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service documentation.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and best practice maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience using computerised diagnostic and maintenance management systems.
