General Labourers – North West Hospitals (Casual / On‑Call)
Location: North West Tasmania
Employment Type: Casual, On‑Call (Short‑Term Assignments)
We are currently seeking reliable General Labourers to support North West Hospitals across a range of vital operational functions. These roles suit candidates looking for flexible, short‑term casual work, with shifts offered on an on‑call basis to cover daily staffing shortfalls.
Available Roles May Include:

• Cleaners
• Ward Aides
• Ward Assistants
• Linen Trolley Assistants

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting hospital operations in line with safety and hygiene standards
• Assisting clinical and operational teams as required
• Transporting linen, equipment, and supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in wards and common areas
• Following instructions and procedures in a healthcare environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Availability to work on an on‑call roster, including short‑notice shifts
• A reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work in a physically active role
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and detail
• Previous experience in cleaning, healthcare, or labouring roles is advantageous, but not essential

Requirements:

• Ability to pass a National Police Check
• Evidence of required vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Vulnerable People Check(WWVP)
