We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support the People Operations Employee Lifecycle team by conducting virtual I-9 documentation reviews and completing Section 2 of the Form I-9 within Workday. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal employment eligibility verification requirements while delivering a professional and efficient onboarding experience for new hires.
The ideal candidate has prior experience completing Form I-9s, conducting virtual document inspections, and working within an HRIS platform, preferably Workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual I-9 document inspections in accordance with company policies and federal guidelines.
- Accurately complete Section 2 of the Form I-9 within Workday.
- Review employment authorization documents for authenticity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with federal I-9 regulations and internal audit requirements.
- Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and new hires to quickly resolve documentation issues.
- Track and manage I-9 cases to ensure completion within required timelines.
- Escalate complex compliance or documentation issues when appropriate.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience completing Form I-9 Section 2 verification.
- Strong understanding of employment eligibility verification requirements.
- Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS platform.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
