Financial Controller

What You'll Need:

• Proven expertise in management reporting, including weekly sales and monthly business unit reports
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including leave, bonuses, superannuation, and payroll tax compliance
• Experience with external financial reporting, statutory compliance (BAS, PAYG, FBT), and familiarity with ABS, ASIC, and Business Names registration
• Ability to develop financial models for commercial activities, tenders, budgets, and proposals
• Skilled in preparing documentation for insurance renewals and business planning
• Proficiency in managing accounting systems and identifying opportunities for process improvements, efficiency, and cost reduction
• Demonstrated leadership in overseeing day-to-day finance operations and collaborating with external IT providers
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in the staffing or recruitment industry
• Knowledge of legal and financial obligations related to business operations
• Previous experience with PowerBI or similar reporting systems
• Strong project management abilities and strategic thinking
• Familiarity with banking systems and internal controls

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in financial management or a similar senior role
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CA are highly advantageous
