Join an established palliative care program just southwest of Hartford, Connecticut as a BC/BE Hospice & Palliative Medicine physician in a unique medical director role combining clinical practice with physician leadership


Position Highlights:

  • 50% administrative leadership / 50% clinical practice
  • Lead an established, highly respected palliative care program
  • Provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across the Central Connecticut region
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, APRNs, nurses, social workers, chaplains and bereavement specialists
  • Drive program growth, innovation, quality improvement and community engagement
  • Mentor residents and advanced practice providers
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence and compassionate care
  • Advocate for patients, families and care teams
  • Opportunity to influence the future direction of palliative medicine
  • Faculty appointment with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure
  • Fellowship trained and board certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
  • Minimum 3 years of palliative care practice experience
  • Minimum 2 years of physician leadership experience
  • Eligible for appointment to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong emotional intelligence and clinical judgment
