Apply directCapacity Planner (Industrial Engineer)
Industry: Electronics / EMS / Semiconductor / High-Tech Manufacturing
We are seeking a Senior Capacity Planner (Industrial Engineer) with 8+ years of experience to drive critical end-to-end capacity planning and supply chain alignment. In this high-impact strategic role, you will act as the pivotal bridge between Sales, Internal Engineering teams, and Contract Manufacturers (CMs)—ensuring machinery, equipment footprint, and production capability seamlessly scale to support exponential demand growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Manufacturer (CM) Capacity Alignment & Scaling:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for CMs regarding capacity forecasting, line loading, and equipment readiness.
- Analyze CM machine utilization, throughput, and bottleneck constraints to ensure sufficient machinery and tooling are allocated to meet surging demand.
- Monitor CM execution against capacity roadmaps and drive proactive mitigation plans to prevent production shortfalls.
- Cross-Functional Demand Forecast Synchronization:
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Commercial, and Engineering teams to translate rolling demand forecasts into granular equipment and capacity models.
- Bridge the gap between technical engineering specifications and commercial volume expectations.
- Advanced Capacity Modeling & Analytics:
- Design, build, and maintain sophisticated Excel-based capacity and resource allocation models to simulate various demand scale-up scenarios.
- Evaluate machine cycle times, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), scrap rates, and labor requirements to optimize capital expenditure and line footprint.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering (IE) or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, or Capacity Planning within fast-paced manufacturing environments (e.g., Electronics, EMS, Semiconductor, Automotive, or Precision Manufacturing).
- Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel expertise is mandatory
- CM & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing and collaborating directly with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Engineering).
- Core Competencies: Strong command of IE concepts (time motion studies, line balancing, machine capacity calculation, bottle-neck analysis).
- Languages: Strong command of English and Thai
