Client Description

  • An allied health clinic in Ivanhoe East, Victoria, that offers occupational therapy and speech pathology services for people of all ages.

Service Provision

As per service provision detailed within the Occupational Therapist/Speech Pathologist - Clinical Supervisor position description, with the following additional roles;

  • Provide primary clinical oversight and supervision to a team of Clinicians
  • Oversee a specialist area of the business.
  • Complete formal and informal supervision of each supervisee who is directly reportable to the Team Leader through presence at the office when not completing direct service provision to clients. The frequency of formal supervision will be dependent on the supervisees experience and support needs.
  • Complete joint sessions with supervisees, as determined in operational meetings
  • Develop/complete resources/documentation/tasks for the team, as determined in operational meetings
  • Identify and organise CPD opportunities for the Ability Rehab. team.
  • Manage OH & S risks identified by supervisees/supervisors.
  • Support supervisors/supervisees to progress their career and to reach and maintain billable/nonbillable targets
  • QA reports on a regular basis as determined in the operational meetings
  • Manage conflicts/concerns with other stakeholders.
  • Regularly meet and feedback to managers
  • Schedule and run team meetings
  • Participate in recruitment and induction of new staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) / Bachelor of Occupational Therapy / Masters of Occupational Therapy, OR
  • Bachelor Speech Pathology/Masters of Speech Pathology
  • Relevant clinical experience in the applicable clinical field.
  • Demonstrated competencies and leadership skills on the job.

Licenses and Accreditations

  • Cleared Police Check for disability within the last twelve months
  • Working with Children’s check (required for all direct support roles)
  • Must satisfy all visa requirements for working in Australia.
  • Driver’s license (required for all roles where there is a requirement to travel to deliver services)
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency/Speech Pathology Australia
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance
