About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Family Lawyer (Senior Associate or Special Counsel) with 5+ years’ PAE to join this close-knit and collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, child custody and complex financial arrangements.

Work Arrangements
This role is ideally full-time, though flexible part-time arrangements (such as 4 days or school hours across 4–5 days) can be accommodated for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of family law
2. Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations
3. Drafting legal documents such as financial agreements, parenting plans and consent orders
4. Managing a varied caseload and delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines
5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
6. Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the legal team  

What we're looking for

1. 5+ years' post-admission experience in family law, ideally including time spent in a reputable family law firm/team
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with clients during sensitive matters
3. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in court
4. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse caseload
5. Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with changes in family law
6. Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to contribute to the growth and development of the family law practice
