Account Manager
$80,000 - $90,000 + Super + Benefits
Location: Mornington, TAS
Searson Buck is proud to recruit an Account Manager for a broad, hands-on role spanning finance, payroll and business operations.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accountant, bookkeeper or finance professional looking to broaden their responsibilities beyond transactional finance. You'll oversee the financial function while supporting reporting, payroll, systems, commercial decision-making and operational performance.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of finance, payroll, reporting and administration while identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and performance.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Financial & Technical
• Deliver accurate monthly financial and management reporting
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, banking and reconciliations
• Coordinate payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and performance reporting
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations
• Coordinate year-end audit and external reporting requirements
Operational & Process
• Maintain data integrity across finance and operational systems
• Support pricing reviews and financial controls
• Improve reporting processes and administrative workflows
• Monitor data accuracy and system performance
• Coordinate procurement and general business administration
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Stakeholder & Commercial
• Partner with leadership on financial performance and planning
• Provide insights to support commercial decision-making
• Prepare reporting for management and governance stakeholders
• Build relationships with advisers, suppliers and service providers
• Support contractual reporting and compliance requirements
• Contribute to operational and strategic business initiatives
About You
• Accounting, bookkeeping or finance management experience within an SME environment
• Strong understanding of payroll, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Knowledge of BAS, GST, payroll tax, superannuation and compliance requirements
• Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and financial reports
• Able to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
