CNC Operator

Location: Westlake, OH

 

Nesco Resource is working with a long standing client who is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Skilled in loading and adjusting CNC programs, performing machine setups, verifying product quality, and using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, preventive maintenance, tooling, and quality control. Recognized for mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts safely and efficiently.

Job Duties

  • Retrieves and loads programs; reviews requirements and may write subroutines.
  • Sets up jobs by loading tools and positioning product.
  • Performs program adjustments.
  • Verifies and documents product conformance.
  • Sharpens or reworks tooling.
  • Performs deburring/demagnetizing.
  • Reports defective material or unsafe conditions.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning.
  • Provides backup for other departments.
  • Enters process data into shop terminals.

 

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years machine shop experience preferred. Preferably VMC setting
  • Must have setup experience 
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read part drawings.
  • Knowledge of micrometers and calipers.
  • Analytical skills and understanding of GD&T.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment screening

Salary: $21-$25 an hour based on experience
Shift: 2 nd (Monday through Friday 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm)(Over time as needed)
