Azure Platform Engineer

About the role:

Our client is a well-known enterprise that’s going through a large amount of growth and has had a lot of investment recently, so they’re looking to bring on an Azure Platform Engineer to join the team.

You’ll be getting stuck into some big initiatives, helping them move away from a ClickOps-style setup to an Infrastructure as Code approach, using Terraform to codify and standardise everything. There’s also a big focus on building out their Azure platform capability - things like Landing Zones, security, networking, governance, etc. - so plenty of interesting work if you like that side of things.

The core stack is Azure and Terraform, and if you’ve got experience with AWS, PowerShell, or CI/CD pipelines, that’s a nice bonus.

What you will work on:

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale cloud platforms across Azure (And some AWS)
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for provisioning and orchestration
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to enable reliable, automated deployments
• Create reusable platform components, including: Terraform modules, Shared services, Developer self-service capabilities
• Contribute to internal developer platform initiatives and engineering standards

Your Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineer in enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience working on Azure Cloud Infrastructure
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (essential)
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines 
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and PowerShell
• Solid understanding of cloud platform engineering, orchestration, and automation-first principles
