The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join a growing NDIS provider and take ownership of establishing and developing services across new locations. Working closely with senior leadership, you will identify opportunities within your local market, establish strong referral pathways and build a sustainable participant base. You will be responsible for developing relationships with Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, Plan Managers, allied health professionals, hospitals, families and other key stakeholders to generate new business opportunities. The role will involve identifying the most suitable service opportunities for each market, with experience across Supported Independent Living (SIL), in-home supports, community participation or other NDIS services highly regarded. You will be expected to establish a strong local presence, acquire new participants and contribute to significant revenue growth. You will recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team based on the needs and deliverables of the services established. Alongside business development, you will oversee day-to-day operations, participant outcomes, workforce performance, compliance and financial performance. This is a hands-on start-up opportunity suited to someone who enjoys building services from the ground up, creating new partnerships and turning growth opportunities into sustainable operations.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 5 years' leadership or management experience within the NDIS, disability, community services, aged care, health or human services sector.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, participant acquisition and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS environment and participant journey.
- Proven ability to establish and grow services, teams or operations.
- Experience developing relationships with Support Coordinators, LACs, Plan Managers and other referral partners.
- Experience across SIL, in-home supports, community participation, support coordination or other NDIS services will be highly regarded.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to work towards participant, revenue and operational targets.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of NDIS compliance, quality and operational requirements.
- Relevant qualification in Disability Services, Community Services, Social Work, Business, Health Services or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- National Police Check.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and identify opportunities in new markets.
