About the Position
This full-time ongoing position commences in Term 3, 2026 and involves teaching English across Years 7–12. The successful candidate will join a collaborative faculty committed to developing students’ literacy, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills. This role would suit an educator who is passionate about fostering a love of reading, writing and language while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop confidence in their learning.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging English lessons, aligned with curriculum requirements.

Use data-informed practices to support student growth and achievement in literacy and English.

Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing and engagement.

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding student progress and learning outcomes.

Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, assessment practices and broader school initiatives.
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Northern Territory Teacher Registration.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
