We're looking for an experienced Human Resources & Talent Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through onboarding and beyond.
This is not a traditional administrative HR position. You'll be a trusted resource for employees, partner with hiring managers, coordinate recruitment efforts, support benefits and compliance, and help keep the day-to-day operations of Human Resources running smoothly. What You'll Do
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities from job posting through onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and hiring logistics.
- Support new hire onboarding and employee integration.
- Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee questions and routine workplace matters.
- Provide guidance regarding HR policies, benefits, leave administration, and employment practices.
- Build positive working relationships across all departments while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Process employee transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and separations.
- Administer benefits enrollment, life event changes, and leave documentation.
- Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and onboarding documentation.
- Monitor the HR shared inbox and respond to employee inquiries.
- Support compliance initiatives including OSHA tracking, SB 553, I-9 administration, training records, and audit preparation.
- Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements.
- Help create efficient, employee-focused HR practices that support organizational success.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Linden Oaks' mission.
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive Human Resources, recruiting, employee relations, or related experience.
- Experience supporting employees in education, nonprofit, healthcare, union, or service-based environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service mindset with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and navigate sensitive situations professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $31.25-$34.62/hour DOE
