Retail Cash Analyst

$500 per day + Super | 6-Month Contract | Sydney| Multiple Positions Available

An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced Retail Cash Operations professionals to join a leading financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

Working within a specialist Cash Services team, you will play a critical role supporting branch cash operations across a large retail banking network, ensuring branches have the right cash holdings to meet customer demand while maintaining operational efficiency, service continuity and risk controls.
This role would suit candidates with experience in banking cash operations, branch cash management, ATM operations, cash forecasting, cash services, treasury operations or cash logistics environments.

About the Role

As a Retail Cash Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of branch cash services, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to coordinate cash movements, support branch requirements and ensure service levels are consistently achieved.

You will be joining a collaborative team environment where attention to detail, proactive communication and the ability to learn quickly are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily retail cash operations supporting branch networks
• Monitor and forecast branch cash holdings and requirements
• Coordinate cash movements with external Cash In Transit (CIT) providers
• Validate and process operational data, transactions and daily workflows
• Support branch cash supply requirements and service continuity
• Investigate and resolve operational issues and service disruptions
• Coordinate schedule changes, public holiday requirements and special event cash servicing
• Liaise with internal stakeholders across cash operations, reconciliations, finance and risk teams
• Maintain strong operational controls, compliance and audit standards
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery

About You To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

• Experience within Banking Cash Operations, Cash Services or Retail Banking Operations
• Understanding of branch cash management and cash flow requirements
• Experience working within operational, process-driven environments
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines
