Low Voltage Access Control and CCTV Technician

  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label low voltage cabling for access control and CCTV systems
  • Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
  • Install, troubleshoot, service, and program/commission access control systems
  • Install and configure card readers, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and control panels
  • Install door hardware including mag locks, electric strikes, door closers, and related components
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems and associated equipment
  • Read and interpret access control and CCTV blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform system testing, inspections, and quality assurance checks
  • Work safely on ladders and lifts and be comfortable working at heights
  • Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and system functionality issues
  • Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites including schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience installing and servicing access control systems
  • Experience with access control platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, AMAG, Software House, or similar systems
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV camera systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
  • Understanding of low voltage wiring standards and industry best practices
  • BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the region as needed
