Estimator

Design & Build are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established Melbourne builder with a strong pipeline of Commercial, Multi-Residential and Townhouse projects.

Operating for over 30 years, this family-owned business has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a supportive and collaborative team culture. Known for their low staff turnover, they offer an environment where people enjoy coming to work and can build long-term careers.

With an exciting pipeline of projects across Melbourne, they are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their growing team.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for multi-residential, townhouse and commercial projects
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to prepare detailed pricing and identify project risks
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the internal team throughout the estimating process
• Prepare tender comparisons, budgets and pricing schedules, ensuring all submissions are accurate and commercially viable

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum five years’ experience as an Estimator
• Proven experience working across multi residential projects valued $10m+ 
• A proven track record and high success rate of winning multiple tenders
• Strong cost management skills
• Excellent communication skills both internally and with key stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
