Junior Customer Service Officer

Our Client
Our client is a well established freight forwarding company based in Brisbane's northern suburbs. Known for their collaborative culture and impressive staff retention, they continue to expand and are now looking for a Junior Customer Service Officer to join their growing operations team.

The Role
As a Junior Customer Service Officer, you will support the team in managing client accounts and coordinating with internal logistics functions to help ensure shipments are delivered accurately and on time. This is a great entry point into the freight forwarding industry, with full training provided and an experienced team around you to learn from.

Some exposure to freight forwarding, logistics or warehousing is preferred, but what matters most is attitude, curiosity and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team in managing client accounts and providing timely, accurate communication on shipment status
• Assist with coordinating carriers, Customs brokers and logistics partners across land, air and sea freight
• Help prepare and check freight documentation and delivery orders
• Support invoicing, payment verification and accurate record keeping
• Work closely with the wider team to resolve issues and maintain service quality
• Build your understanding of the industry with a view to taking on more responsibility over time

About You

• Some exposure to freight forwarding, logistics or warehousing environments is preferred, though we care more about the right attitude than years of experience
• Background in customer service, administration, warehousing, hospitality or logistics support is highly regarded, we care more about the experience behind it than the exact job title
• A true willingness to learn, a positive attitude and a sharp, curious mind
• Reliable, detail oriented and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
• Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with clients and internal stakeholders
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, with an interest in picking up new systems
• Team player who wants to grow their career within a supportive, collaborative environment
