We’re looking for a Senior Data BI Analyst to join a growing public sector data team, working at a senior level and acting as a 2IC to the team lead.

This is a varied role focused on solving business problems through data, rather than simply building reports. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, connect different datasets and turn ideas into effective Power BI dashboards and solutions.

We’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on Power BI experience
  • Good understanding of data structures and how datasets connect
  • Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights
  • Comfortable stepping up and supporting the team lead when required
  • Power Apps / Power Automate experience would be a bonus

You’ll be working across a range of financial, operational and commercial data, so a broad data lens and strategic approach will be important.

A great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, stakeholder engagement, solving complex problems and having a bit of leadership responsibility.

Wellington-based | Approx. 2 days WFH | ASAP start
