We are now looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting our team and clients. The Role This is a leadership role within the firm. You will work closely with the director and practice manager to support the accounting team, review work and help ensure clients receive a high level of service. You will become the primary technical and operational leader for the accounting team, helping to develop the team while ensuring work is delivered accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied role in a boutique firm, where you can have real influence on how the business operates. Key Responsibilities Technical Review & Quality Control

Review financial statements and tax returns prepared by the team

Provide technical guidance on accounting and tax matters

Ensure work meets firm standards before being delivered to clients Team Leadership & Development

Act as the first point of contact for technical queries from the accounting team

Support and mentor team members to improve their capability

Help identify training opportunities for the team

Encourage problem solving and continuous improvement Workflow & Job Management

Monitor job progress and assist with workflow management

Identify jobs running over budget and help resolve issues early

Support the team to ensure deadlines are met Client Communication

Assist with job related and adhoc client queries

Assisting clients with complex technical queries and help with Xero issues

Explaining technical matters to clients

Complex tax matters (With Steve)

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve workflows and systems

Help refine processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Contribute to improving how the firm operates About You We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with the ability to support and develop others. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a manager or senior role within public practice

Strong knowledge of tax and accounting compliance

Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns

Confidence communicating with clients

Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members Personal Traits We Value
