Senior Lawyer - Litigation & Dispute Resolution (4-10+ PAE)

Our client is a leading disputes practice running complex, high-value litigation across a broad range of commercial, employment, construction and regulatory matters. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced litigator who thrives on advocacy, strategic thinking and being at the sharp end of contentious matters.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys being in court, appearing at interlocutory hearings, attending mediations, preparing matters for trial and working directly with sophisticated clients on significant disputes.

The Role

Working as part of a highly regarded litigation team, you will:

• Manage a diverse litigation and dispute resolution practice
• Advise clients on complex and high-stakes disputes
• Draft persuasive pleadings, submissions, affidavits and correspondence
• Develop litigation strategy from commencement through to resolution
• Appear in courts, tribunals and commissions where appropriate
• Represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences
• Prepare and run matters for trial
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

About You

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' post-admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution
• Strong advocacy skills and/ or a genuine interest in court work
• Experience managing matters with a high degree of autonomy
• Excellent drafting and analytical abilities
• Commercial judgment and strategic thinking capability
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior practitioners
• The ability to thrive under pressure and manage urgent matters when required

Experience in commercial litigation, employment disputes, construction litigation or related contentious practice areas will be considered.
