Production & Assembly Technician

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for a Production & Assembly Technician in Austin, TX. The Production & Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of NIR analyzer control panels, flow cells, fiber optic cables, and associated products in accordance with established production procedures and customer specifications. This role involves performing electrical and optical testing, troubleshooting components, maintaining production equipment, and documenting quality control results. The candidate will have a minimum four years’ experience assembly and testing of electrical/mechanical/fluid transport systems

Title: Production & Assembly Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Shift: M-F 8-5pm(varies)

The Production and Assembly Technician will have direct responsibility for the following:

• Follow production procedures, and assemble NIR analyzer control panels, flow cells and associated products to JP3 specifications and/or specific customer requirements
• Run JP3 quality test on fiber optic cables and approve for shipping
• Perform quality assurance testing to verify performance of components, parts and assembled units
• Build and maintain production equipment/tools
• Perform electrical acceptance and optical testing of final assemblies
• Create, maintain and archive all QC documentation required for production
• Ensure that all JP3 safety guidelines are always followed and maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Must be able to use a multimeter and be comfortable working with 120VAC.

Candidate Requirements

• Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience
• Minimum four years’ experience assembly and testing of electrical/mechanical/fluid transport systems
• Attention to detail, with statistical and analytical thinking
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications, engineering software and database systems
• Common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, results-driven, high-tech environment within a relaxed atmosphere.
