An opportunity now exists to join Powerlink’s Executive Team as Executive General Manager, Field & Asset Management, leading one of the organisation’s largest and most operationally critical divisions.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation and management of Powerlink’s transmission network. The portfolio brings together asset management, operational engineering, field delivery and operational support services, with approximately 530 people working across a geographically dispersed, 24/7 environment.
This is a broad executive role spanning asset strategy, field delivery and maintenance. A key focus will be ensuring an integrated approach to managing Powerlink’s extensive linear infrastructure, connecting centralised asset management and planning with effective execution in the field. You will balance safety, reliability, asset performance and cost, while ensuring maintenance and operational programs are appropriately prioritised and resourced.
As a member of the Executive Team, you will contribute beyond the portfolio, working closely with the Chief Executive and executive colleagues to shape organisational priorities and Powerlink’s broader strategic direction. Leading a large and diverse workforce, you will build capability, foster strong leadership and continue to evolve ways of working across operational and field environments.
We are seeking an accomplished executive with experience leading large-scale linear infrastructure, ideally within electricity transmission or distribution, telecommunications or a comparable network environment. You will bring a strong understanding of centralised asset management and strategy, coupled with the realities of maintenance and field delivery across a geographically dispersed network.
A visible and credible leader, you will set a strong tone for safety, leadership and performance, building trusted relationships across the workforce and creating an environment where people are engaged, supported and clear on the contribution they make. Your ability to lead through influence, navigate complexity and bring people with you will be critical.
Commercially astute, you will balance operational performance and reliability with longer-term asset investment, ensuring decisions support the safe, efficient and sustainable performance of the network.
