Forklift Supervisor - Cold Storage Warehouse

Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am - 2:00pm + Overtime and weekend work

We are hiring for a leading dairy company seeking an experienced Forklift Supervisor to join our cold storage warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is comfortable working in cold conditions.

About the Role

As the Forklift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team within our cold storage warehouse, ensuring daily operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and to company standards. You will work closely with management to achieve operational targets while maintaining strong team engagement and performance.

This role operates in a cold storage environment of up to -2°C and requires a proactive leader who can manage both people and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 5+ warehouse employees
• Conduct daily morning meetings and team warm-up sessions
• Operate forklifts as required to support warehouse operations
• Monitor team productivity and performance
• Provide KPI updates and operational reports to management
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports
• Review workload and staffing requirements for upcoming shifts
• File and manage picking slips and warehouse documentation
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and policies
• Support inventory control and warehouse efficiency initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years' forklift operating experience
• Two most recent working references
• Previous experience supervising or leading a team of 5 or more employees
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Experience conducting team meetings and toolbox talks
• Ability to monitor and report on KPIs
• Administrative experience including filing and reporting
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a cold storage environment
• Forklift Licence (LF) required
