We are partnering with a reputable and well-established Singapore-based distributor of Scientific & Medical Instruments, Laboratory Equipment, and Hospital Infrastructure. With close to five decades of experience, the organisation partners with leading global manufacturers to deliver end-to-end solutions spanning research, quality control, clinical diagnostics, and patient care. They have a strong presence across 8 countries in Southeast Asia and are now looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead their Medical Devices division in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 8 to 10, comprising Product Specialists, Clinical Application Specialists, and Administrative staff, to deliver on the divisional revenue target of ~$10M. The role involves developing and executing divisional sales plans, overseeing monthly team activities, supporting tender submissions and commercial agreements, and coaching team members to achieve both individual and divisional goals. As a hands-on leader, you will also be expected to contribute directly to key accounts and new business development.
A key part of the role involves managing inventory and pricing strategies, overseeing pre-planning for new project opportunities, and cultivating a strong network of KOLs, principal manufacturers, professional bodies, and strategic partners to strengthen the company's market positioning. You will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to drive marketing initiatives, product launches, and ensure a high standard of pre- and post-sales customer engagement across the Medical Devices division.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is someone with at least 8 years of Medical Devices Sales / Business Development / Account Management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a people management role overseeing a team of 5 or more. You will need to have strong capital equipment product knowledge, and candidates coming from a distributor environment will be strongly preferred.
