The Opportunity
We are representing a Singapore-based buy-side asset manager focused on liquid markets, currently scaling its platform with a clear trajectory towards USD 1bn in AUM.
This is a hands-on Risk, Compliance & Legal role supporting the COO / Head of Operations. The remit is broad, practical, and execution-focused — ideal for someone who wants real ownership rather than a narrow compliance silo.
What You’ll Do- Support ongoing compliance with MAS regulatory requirements applicable to asset managers
- Review and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls
- Assist with SMA and client agreement reviews, flagging regulatory and legal risks
- Support regulatory filings, audits, and interactions with external advisors
- Contribute to operational risk identification and internal governance frameworks
- Partner closely with the COO on platform build-out and institutionalisation initiatives
- Working knowledge of MAS regulations for asset management firms
- Exposure to compliance within liquid markets (buy-side or relevant advisory background)
- Comfortable reviewing legal / commercial documentation
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a lean environment
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset
- Inquisitive and curious about how funds scale operationally
- Commercial awareness — understands compliance as a business enabler
