We are currently recruiting for a Senior - Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Advisor to join the team on Permanent Employment!
About the Role:
As the Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Advisor, you'll lead stakeholder engagement and site-wide communications in a fast-paced operational environment. You'll manage community and government relationships, sponsorships and social investment initiatives while helping to strengthen the organisation's reputation internally and externally.
We're looking for a proactive, high-performing professional with exceptional communication and writing skills who can work independently, build trusted relationships and take ownership. What's on offer:
- Permanent Employment Opportunity with a large NT Mine Site
- Salary package of $120,000–$130,000 plus:
- $12,000 roster allowance.
- $10,400 location allowance.
- 13% superannuation.
- FIFO roster:
- 5 days on / 2 days off, then 4 days on / 3 days off.
- 12-hour shifts.
- Monday to Thursday flights from Darwin.
- Relocation assistance for candidates moving to Darwin.
- Clear long-term career development with a pathway to a future Superintendent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage and deliver stakeholder engagement and communication programs that foster positive two-way relationships.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with government, community, industry and key external stakeholders.
- Coordinate meetings, briefings and site visits with ministers, government officials, organisations and community representatives.
- Prepare high-quality briefings, presentations, reports and communication materials.
- Lead community and site-based events and engagement activities across the Gulf region and Northern Territory.
- Manage McArthur River Mine's social investment and sponsorship portfolio in line with business strategy and community priorities.
- Maintain an understanding of government processes relevant to mining operations and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of business plans, reports and other documentation as required.
To be successful for this role, you will need the following:
- Demonstrated experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement or a similar role.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver events, meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prepare professional communication materials.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A sound understanding of current affairs, government processes and industry best practice.
- A proactive attitude with the initiative to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
