About the role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, GI Cancer Trials is seeking a proactive and hands-on Operations Coordinator to support the CEO and wider organisation across a range of administrative, operational and executive support activities. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will keep the organisation running smoothly through office management, stakeholder liaison, calendar and travel coordination, event support, governance administration and day-to-day operational assistance.
This is a varied, "jack-of-all-trades" role suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, taking initiative and supporting a high-performing team wherever needed. Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will gain exposure across the whole organisation, with potential opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility over time.

Main Duties:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the CEO and wider organisation.
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings and assist with executive scheduling and follow-up actions.
- Support office operations, including liaising with IT and external service providers, managing shared inboxes and maintaining administrative systems.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, venue bookings and logistics for key organisational events.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of internal events, education sessions, member activities and organisational functions.
- Draft correspondence, meeting notes, reports and other business documentation.
- Maintain accurate stakeholder, membership and database records and provide general administrative support across teams.
- Support with meeting preparation, agenda coordination, minute taking and action tracking where needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures to enhance organisational efficiency and service delivery.
- Act as a key support person across the business, taking a flexible, hands-on approach and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required.
About you:
- Previous experience in administration, office coordination, operations support, executive assistance or a similar business support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence managing and engaging a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and liaise with IT providers when required. Proficiency across Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- High attention to detail, proactive, and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with discretion and professionalism.
- Adaptable, hands-on and willing to support the wider team with a variety of responsibilities as needed.
