Strategic Advisor - Board Governance

Our client is a leading, purpose-driven industry superannuation fund based in Melbourne, with a strong reputation for member-focused outcomes and a collaborative, values-driven culture. A high-impact 12-month project role has arisen for an experienced governance professional, supporting a high-functioning and well-respected Company Secretariat team.

Reporting to the Company Secretary and partnering with the Risk team to align governance and risk frameworks, you will provide specialist advice on the design and uplift of the fund's governance framework and processes, including an enhanced approach to Board and Committee capability assessment built around a skills matrix. The role involves assessing the current framework against better practice and evolving regulatory expectations, then developing the tools, templates and procedures that support lasting improvement. You will also partner with the business to deliver the uplift program.

You are a senior governance professional with experience in a governance, company secretarial, legal or risk function within a highly regulated environment (superannuation experience preferred but not essential). Degree qualified in Law, Business or a related field, you bring demonstrable experience in project execution and delivery. You will be trusted to deliver with a high level of independence and ownership, which will suit someone with a collaborative approach and the credibility to influence at Board and Executive level.
