About the School

This brand-new, purpose-designed specialist Victorian Government facility - operating year-round, it delivers the Victorian Curriculum, Senior Secondary Certificates including VPC and VCE VM, and vocational training across nine trades accredited through Melbourne Polytechnic Visual Art, Music, Sport and Recreation, Fitness, Kitchen Operations, Engineering, Carpentry, Horticulture and Salon Assistant.

Teachers work in small-group settings delivering individually tailored education alongside wellbeing teams and community transition partners. The school fosters a deeply supportive, trauma-informed professional culture with modern facilities and strong collegial support. This is not a conventional teaching role — it requires adaptability, emotional resilience and a genuine belief in every young person's potential.

Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Start Date: Term 4 or Term 1 2027 
• Location: Melbourne's West
• Roles Available: Classroom Teacher and VET Teacher roles across multiple subject areas
• Salary: $79,589 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, applied learning lessons aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and relevant VET certificates, adapted to meet the individual needs and goals of students in a specialist school setting
• Work in small-group settings to build strong, trusting relationships with young people, applying trauma-informed and restorative practices to create a safe and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with wellbeing teams, community transition partners and relevant external agencies to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to student support and engagement
• Differentiate teaching and learning programs to respond to fluctuating enrolment, diverse backgrounds and varied learning needs across the student cohort
• Maintain accurate student records, competency sign-offs, assessments and reporting in line with school, VET and Department of Education requirements
• Demonstrate genuine resilience, adaptability and belief in every young person's potential, contributing to a professional culture that upholds the school's motto of Unlimited Potential

About You
You're a qualified teacher who:

• Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
• Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
