Responsibilities

• Author scalable, maintainable codebase structures using Kotlin and Java throughout the complete software lifecycle.

• Partner with cross-functional product, design, and backend engineering teams to bring features from initial vision through deployment.

• Build, maintain, and optimize native Android applications to guarantee top-tier responsiveness and operational stability.

• Conduct thorough code reviews, lead technical planning, and refine existing application architectures.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks across diverse hardware configurations.

• Champion inclusive product development by integrating accessibility and user-centric design principles into every release.

• Stay aligned with modern Android SDK tools, updates, and mobile development industry standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience shipping native Android applications.

• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or both development languages.

• Practical background working with Jetpack Compose and standard Android development frameworks.

• Proven track record integrating mobile clients with RESTful APIs alongside backend engineering teams.

• Sound knowledge of modern mobile architectural patterns, performance optimization, and mobile testing methodologies.

• Demonstrated history of publishing and maintaining live applications on the Google Play Store.

• Excellent collaborative mindset and strong oral/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engineering mobile platforms that serve distinct simultaneous user personas (such as administrative and end-consumer audiences).

• Understanding of digital accessibility standards and designing tools for varied demographic needs.

• Professional exposure to educational technology, mission-driven organizations, or non-profit software ecosystems.

• Technical familiarity implementing background push services, offline-first data synchronization, or multi-tenant user accounts.
