Fund Operations Specialist

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Fund Operations Analyst to join a growing investment operations team based in Burnaby.

This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day operations behind investment portfolios by ensuring the accurate settlement, custody, and servicing of fund assets. Working closely with internal teams and external service providers, you will help maintain the integrity of investment operations while contributing to process improvements that support long-term business success. This position offers excellent exposure to capital markets and provides opportunities to expand your responsibilities as you develop within the team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, and futures trades.
• Coordinate with custodians and external service providers to ensure trades are settled and cleared accurately and on time.
• Process corporate actions, dividend payments, and other post-trade activities.
• Maintain accurate security master data and standing settlement instructions.
• Support the onboarding of new broker relationships in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Provide operational support to the investment and trading teams.
• Assist with analyst paper portfolios and related operational activities.
• Track operational errors and contribute to team performance reporting.
• Participate in projects that improve workflows, increase efficiency, and strengthen operational controls.
• Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Interest in capital markets and the investment industry.
• Previous financial services experience is an asset but not required.

 Remuneration

• Annual base salary of $55,000 to $65,000.
