Currently, we are searching for a HSE Officer (m/w/d) for a major data centre project.

The Role

We are partnering with a leading main contractor company to source an experienced HSE Officer for a high-profile data centre construction project based in Katrineholm, Sweden. This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension, requiring an immediate or near-immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site HSE operations, ensuring absolute compliance with local Swedish and international safety regulations.
• Oversee site safety, quality assurance, and risk assessments in direct collaboration with the project management and client EHS teams.
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs, safety audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training to subcontractors and site personnel.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with health and safety plans and manage site manpower safety levels.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings to champion a pro-active safety culture.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including weekly progress reports, incident logs, and statistics.
• Support the final handover documentation, including safety files and project close-out deliverables.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience within large-scale construction companies.
• Sector Expertise: Previous experience working on Data Centre projects is highly desirable.
• Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, or an equivalent recognized international certification related to HSE.
• Location/Mobility: Ability to work on-site in Katrineholm, Sweden, and adapt to the project's rotational schedule.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to manage safety across diverse, multicultural subcontractor teams.
