This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader to step into a key Store Manager role, take ownership of a busy supermarket operation and make a real impact within the local community.
The Opportunity
As Store Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket, ensuring strong standards across customer service, stock control, team leadership, store presentation and commercial performance.
You will lead a passionate store team, drive operational excellence and ensure the store continues to deliver a great local shopping experience for the Mareeba community.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily store operations, including sales, inventory, merchandising and compliance
• Lead, coach and develop a motivated team across the store
• Manage rostering, wages, performance and team engagement
• Drive strong customer service standards and build lasting local relationships
• Maintain high standards across fresh produce, grocery, store presentation and stock availability
• Manage stock control, ordering, shrinkage and reporting processes
• Support profitability through strong commercial decision-making and operational discipline
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and company standards
• Build positive connections with the local community and support store initiatives
About You
You will be an experienced retail leader who enjoys running a store with ownership, accountability and community connection.
You will bring:
• Proven retail management experience, ideally within supermarket, FMCG, grocery, convenience or high-volume retail
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confidence managing teams, rosters, wages and day-to-day performance
• Good understanding of stock control, ordering, merchandising and store standards
• Commercial awareness, including sales, margins, waste, shrinkage and profitability
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members and the wider community
• Experience across fresh produce or supermarket departments will be highly regarded
• A hands-on leadership style and genuine pride in store standards
