Maintenance Planner – Scrap Metal Recycling | Wacol QLD

$80k–$90k + Super (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our scrap metal recycling facility in Wacol. This hands‑on role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance across both fixed plant and mobile equipment to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

About the Role

• Plan and schedule preventative and reactive maintenance

• Coordinate shutdowns, including annual shutdown planning

• Ensure parts, tools, and consumables are available

• Manage critical spares and inventory

• Liaise with internal teams and contractors

• Maintain maintenance systems (MaintainX)

• Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Experience as a Maintenance Planner (heavy industry, recycling, manufacturing, or mobile plant)

• Strong understanding of maintenance planning and work management

• Experience with fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment

• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills

• Strong communication and ability to work autonomously

• Safety‑focused with solid WHS knowledge

Highly Regarded:

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification

• Shutdown planning experience

• Inventory and critical spares management
