Assignment Information: DHS/LA County-Harbor UCLA Medical Center is currently in need of highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs)
with a minimum of three (3) years of recent Critical Care nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population. RNs will be providing care to patients with cardiac and thoracic disorders from the initial assessment to life[1]threatening illnesses, complex medical conditions, multi-system organ dysfunction, and post-surgical needs requiring continuous monitoring, advanced treatment, and end-of-life care. RNs will be conducting comprehensive patient assessments, managing high-acuity critical care cases, participating in cardiac resuscitations and emergency response events, administering medications and blood products, operating and monitoring advanced life-support equipment. RNs may be floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down Unit (SDU) and/or any lower level of care as needed to care for patients who are acutely ill with a variety of medical conditions such as recovering from surgery, and have a variety of other medical needs, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.
Ensure that profiles are submitted only for RNs who are fully committed to working an 8-week assignment.
Request for assignment time-off, such as 1 or 2 days, will be at the discretion of the scheduling Nurse Manager and not guaranteed.
